In July of 2006, happened in the city of Windsor - California, the National Encounter of Balloons. Ricardo Reis, witnessed the event and in a brief report bill everything that happened there!

That annual encounter happens with the objective of collecting funds for beneficent activities and at the same time to disclose the sport. Attended in that edition balloons riders of several other states with prominence for the state of Virginia where the balloons is quite practiced.

Already 5 o'clock in the morning the "dawn patrol" began, because on this hour, for there not being solar light, the air is calm and perfect for the beginning of the works of to unfold and to inflate the balloons in several ways, colors and sizes. Along the day, was made dozens of teeny flights with the people that were disposed to pay 5 dollars. They collected like this funds and they awoke in the beginners the interest for the sport that it is said, not cheap.

The longer panoramic flights are around 120 dollars, since the Balloon for subjects of safety should be substituted on the average every 3 years. To stay in the sport a cost it is had of starting from 25 thousand that is to say it is not a very accessible hobby being still taken into account, the transport with displacements, ransom, fuel etc.
