Even with a bad weather, rain and wind, in the last weekend November 4th and 5th, some riders was in the first train de recognized in Vila Beach, in Imbituba, Jet Waves' place, Free Ride World Championship's Brazilian round
The world leader of Stand Up's class (jet on foot) Italian Federico Bufacchi and the Brazilians Du Nunes, world championship amateur of Sit Down's class (jet sitting) in 2003 and Leandro Vieira that return to compete after stay away for about six months due to knee's injury, was in Vila Beach, together with Tchello Brandão, IFWA's president, international association that regulate the sport.
The riders trained even with bad weather and sea's conditions. Wind strong, rain and little waves. "I think it's important train in any condition", says Leandro Vieira. "If competitions' day, the weather will be like today, I will have an idea for what to do", completed the local rider that will dispute two classes.
The Italian Federico Bufacchi was the first foreigner that arrived in championship's place searching the best condition to dispute. "Today the sea is very bad, but I have to train, because the dispute in last round must be strong and who win can stay with the title of this year" says Federico that's leader the world championship in Stand Up class with four points in front the actual champion, Pierre Maixent. Federico won in 2005 the Brazilian round.
Another local rider that was training was Du Nunes. He wants repeat the result of last year and keeps a place in the podium. "I'm training stronger now and want win. I'm out of world dispute, but I want make a good show in the last round", says Nunes.
The IFWA's president is hopeful about participate the other riders, because day by day more inscriptions are confirmed. "I received the confirmation of two Brazilians riders. Douglas Carvalho that's living in China and already is traveling to Brazil, he's a strong player, because is training a lot and making jet ski's show abroad. Another good player is Ivo Sehn Neto, actual vice world champion. With others riders foreigner that are confirmed, I think this round will be one of the best of the year", explain Tchello.
The 8th Jet Waves, fourth and last round of Freeride World Championship will be from November 24th to 26th, in Vila Beach, Imbituba. The supervision is of IFWA and Motoaquatic Federation of Estado of Santa Catarina (FEMOASC). The event is sponsor for Malwee and Yamaha with support of Government of Santa Catarina, City Hall of Imbituba and ProNáutica Jet Ski.
