João Filipi Pistum, 17 years old, is one of the pilots freeride that participated in 9th Jet Waves Championship that happened between the 7 and September 9, 2007, in the Brave Beach, in Itajaí, in Santa Catarina/BR.

The life is made of new discoveries and conquests. We should always look for novelty, go in search of new activities, new friends, and new experiences. It is necessary to hear the oldest, because exactly for the age they are more experienced and they have to much to teach. In the case of the free rider, João Felipe Pistum, 17 years, all that novelty arrived to his life through the jet-ski and he is following his father's advice, the person who more motivate him in the sport.

He is one of the pilots' freeride that participated in 9th Jet Waves Championship that happened between the 7 and September 9, 2007, in the Brave Beach, in Itajaí, in Santa Catarina/BR. He is in his first championship, and he started ride jet-ski just one year a go.

The trainings preparations for the championship were of three hours during the week and intensified in the weekend, when he passed most of the time inside of the water. He was surprised with the quality and efficiency of the organization of the event. He lives in Balneário Camboriu, and thinks the whole people that participated are great!

For a freerider is very to have friends, because of the incentive given for them. With relationship to the waves, he says that in the days of the competition are very good, breaking great. As him is riding for the first time, his expectations are not the best ones. The one that he wants is to enjoy the waves, to relax and feel the adrenaline. When he is in the sea, the only things that go by the head is the jet and him, and in the what the two together can do.

To give pride for the father, João José Pistum, 47 years old, is of extreme importance for João, that is very thankful for having placed in the sport. A good way to begin in the sport is through the friends, because when you have company to practice the sport you are more motivated.
