Alexandre Samapaio is one of the freeriders that competed in 9° Jet Waves World Championship, that happened between the 7 and September 9, 2007, in the Brave Beach, in the city of Itajaí, in Santa Catarina/BR. Checks the report!

Participated of the 9th Jet Waves World Championship, about 30 pilots. Most has professional activity out of the sporting area. What is not the case of Alexandre Sampaio, 30 years old, that has the life gone back to the sport. His involvement is not summarized to the freeride.

He divides among motorcycles, wake surf, wind surf, making a little of each, teaching, making shows, tanning the sport. The jet-ski entered life of Alexandre there are about 15 years. In Jet Waves, that happened at the Brave Beach, in Itajaí, Santa Catarina/BR, he had some problems with his jet.

A little before the competition he sold the jet that he had, because of this he had to set up other, of last hour, for the championship. He only got to finish the assembly at the five and half of the Saturday morning. When he went to the beach the jet-ski still lacked some pieces and because of that, he lost the first battery.

But he went to the last chance and he counted with the pilots' support that helped in some way in the assembly. With that whole foray he didn't get to stop to notice a lot of thing of the event, but he says to be satisfied with the organization. According to Xan, as he is known, the pilots' level is high, what still turns the competition more difficult for him.

The freerider already participated four times of Jet Waves. The first in 2003, without commitment. Already in 2004, 2005, 2006 and now in 2007, he really competes. For him that cannot lack in a freeride competitor "is patience. Actually it is a group of things that cannot lack. But I think patience is fundamental because it is a kind of 'law' you to arrive in the championship and to have some problem with the jet or thing of the type, he has to have patience and waist game to tolerate the rhythm".
