1° Phase - Bela Vista do Paraíso. At this phase, from Bela Vista do Paraíso to Primeiro de Maio, returning to Bela Vista do Paraíso, was covered 173km. It's a hard event to the athletes, they sweat a lot to achieve the finish. After 4h 20' 44'', Armando Camargo (Memorial/Pref. Santos/Giant. /Nossa Caixa) arrives in first place, followed with the same time, by the second place, Gilberto Goes (Sales Supermercados/Pinarello/BH), and the third with 4h20'47'', was Alcides Vieira (Avaí/Florianópolis/APGF). The test, so hard to the begginers in this king of competition, took off five of its six athletes, the Team South Mato Grossense let just Diego Marcelino to continue in the second phase, that happened today.
