The ninth edition of Jet Waves, brazilian stage of the Worldwide Championship of Freeride, happen at September 7 to 9 of 2007, at Itajaí, Santa Catarina. Check how will be the competition!

The 9th Jet Waves is allowed by FEMOAESC (Jet Ski's Federation of Santa Catarina), IFWA (International Freeride E Watercraft Association) and organized by Tchello Brandrão and Interlong.

The IFWA - Worldwide Championship of Freeride 2007 (3rd edition) is composted by five events:

- Portugal: April 14th and 15th - Spain: April 21st and 22nd - France: April 28th and 29th - Brazil: September 8th and 9th - USA: October

The final pointing of this five events will count to the championship's ranking. In case of draw will prevail the highest pointing at events disputed.

Each event is organized by IFWA's agents: each organizer has autonomy to determine partnership with their federations and associations, always looking for a better way to make the event. IFWA's agents will be at each event to supervise the statute's application and give support to the organizers as well.

IFWA pretend make viable the international media's presence in all events, so that will have lots of international backlash and can give a good return to the participants.

General Information

- Máximum of 40 pilots - 2 categories: Stand up and sit down

Competition Format

Battery man to man. Allow the valuation of judges reflect the sea's changes and improve the medias and community understands.

1) System of keys developed up to 20 pilots; if there is more than 20 pilots, this prequalification phase will determine which pilots will be in each key. The eight pilots better classified at IFWA's ranking doesn't compete at prequalification phase and going through to the keys.

2) If happen prequalification phase, the pilots will compete on batteries of 6 and 10 minutes (2 pilots each battery); the ten larger punctuations with two guests - "wildcards" (determined by IFWA's jury) go forward to the keys. If have time, the pilots which don't advance to the keys still in a phase of consolation.

Finally, if have time, all pilots run at least 2 bateries.
