Um grande evento vai acontecer no mundo da fotografia. O Red Bull Illume Quest 2006. Até 15 de setembro de 2006, serão selecionadas 50 fotos. A cerimônia oficial será realizada no mês de novembro e uma turnê internacional iniciará logo depois.

O Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2006 é o primeiro evento internacional de fotografia que celebra o mundo de ação e aventura dos esportes. Muitos fotógrafos amadores e profissionais, de todo o mundo, irão participar. As fotos devem mostrar os atletas, na sua maioria, em ação e serão avaliadas a habilidade do fotógrafo e o atleta.

"Todas as imagens participantes da competição Illume Image Quest 2006 precisam ser de autoria do fotógrafo. Entretanto, conserva o copyright de todas as imagens. A Red Bull concede a licença para o uso das imagens", explica Thomas Mlinek.

Editores de fotos de publicações do mundo inteiro serão os juízes da competição. Jeff Baker da Snowboard Magazine, Sabine Meyer da National Geographic e Dave Reddik da Bike & Powder Magazine estão entre os dezessete juízes.

O evento é organizado e patrocinado pela Red Bull, a divulgação é apoiada através de revistas e sites ao redor do mundo.

Os cinco primeiros finalistas das 10 categorias irão receber uma viagem com hospedagem para participar da Cerimônia de abertura do Red Bull Illume. Terá sua imagem exibida na Cerimônia de Abertura e publicada no livro do Red Bull Illume. Além de receber um certificado oficial de finalista.

Os vencedores de cada categoria, adicionado ao prêmio de finalista, estará qualificado para o Red Bull Illume Image of the Year Award, receberá o equivalente a $2,000USD em equipamentos para câmara do patrocinador oficial e receberá, também, o Red Bull Illume Troféu.

O fotógrafo vencedor será designado para realizar uma seqüência de fotos com um atleta da Red Bull numa locação internacional, que será escolhida. O atleta participante será selecionado através de uma lista que aprova os atletas da Red Bull. Ambos irão colaborar com o álbum Red Bull Illume and Photofiles. Ao fotágrafo vencedor será pago $10,000USD pelas fotos e receberá um orçamento de $20,000USD para patrocinar as fotografias. O fotógrafo sera responsável por todas as fotos.

Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2006

A big event will happen in picture world. The Red Bull Illume Quest 2006. Until September 15th, is period to select 50 photos. The ceremony will be in November and the international exhibition tour there after.

Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2006 is the first-ever international photography competition that celebrates the world of action and adventure sports. Many amateur and professional photographers worldwide will participate. The photos must show athletes, mostly in action. The photos appraise the athlete and the skill of the photographer.

"All images submitted for consideration in the Illume Image Quest 2006 contest remain the sole property of the photographer. Entrants retain copyright over each of their images. The Red Bull grants a license to use the images", explain Thomas Mlinek.

Photos editors from top publications around the globe will be the competition's judges. Jeff Baker from Snowboard Magazine, Sabine Meyer from National Geographic and Dave Reddik from Bike & Powder Magazine are between the seventeen judges.

The event is organized and supported by Red Bull, communication support through magazines and sites around the world.

The five finalists in each of the 10 categories will receive one round trip flight and two nights lodging to the Red Bull Illume Opening Exhibit Ceremony. Have their image displayed at the Red Bull Illume Opening Exhibit Ceremony and their image will be published in the Red Bull Illume exhibit book. Beyond receive an official contest finalist certificate.

The winners of each of the ten categories will, in addition to the finalist prizes, be eligible for the Red Bull Illume Image of the Year Award, receive the equivalent of approximately $2,000USD worth of camera equipment from the official camera sponsor and will receive a Red Bull Illume Trophy.

The winning photographer will be commissioned for a photo-story shoot with a Red Bull athlete of choice at an international location of choice. The participating athlete will be chosen from a list of approved Red Bull Athletes. The athlete and winning photographer will collaborate with Red Bull Illume and Photo files on the assignment. The winning photographer will be paid a $10,000USD for the shoot and receive a budget of $20,000USD for all photo shoot support. The winning photographer will be responsible for all image deliverables in connection with the shoot.
