O piloto Italiano Federico Bufacchi participou do 8º Jet Waves, Campeonato Mundial de FreeRide, que aconteceu nos dias 24, 25 e 26 de novembro de 2006, na Praia da Vila, Imbituba/SC. Bufacchi conversou com a equipe INEMA sobre a competição.

O piloto que liderava o campeonato alcançou a segunda colocação na categoria Stand Up, numa final disputada com o Francês Pierre Maixent: "O Pierre é um ótimo piloto!" Bufacchi estava preocupado com as poucas ondas que a Praia da Vila apresentou durante o evento.

Como tem casa na Lagoa da Conceição em Florianópolis, Bufacchi veio para o Brasil ainda em outubro e treinou na Praia da Vila no final de semana anterior ao evento. Segundo ele já conhecer o local da prova não facilita na hora da bateria, pois o mar muda a cada dia.

Bufacchi conta que começou a andar de jet em 1998, por indicação de um amigo: "É comecei a andar tarde para a minha idade", afirma o piloto, conhecido por suas belas manobras. Em 1999 ele participou de seu primeiro campeonato, ainda na Itália. Além dos treinos com jet, o piloto cuida do preparo físico fazendo musculação e andando de bodyboard.

"É todo um estilo de vida. Não bebo, não fumo, cuido da alimentação, não como fritura..." Para Bufacchi o momento mais gratificante da sua carreira foi ser campeão do mundo em 1999, apenas um ano depois que iniciou nesse esporte.

O piloto que conta com o patrocínio de Monticelli/Gust, Dolce e Gabbana e da Maremoto afirma que para ele, poder conferir as mudanças e a evolução do Jet Waves é muito legal: "Todo ano tem algo diferente", observa.

Federico Bufacchi in Imbituba's Jet Waves

The Italian rider Federico Bufacchi participated in 8th Jet Waves, FreeRide World Championship, happened in November 24th, 25th and 26th 2006, in Vila Beach, Imbituba/SC. Bufacchi speaks with INEMA team about the competition.

The rider that was one of the championship's leaders got the second placement in Stand Up class, after dispute the final with the French Pierre Maixent: "Pierre's a great rider!" Bufacchi was worried with the small waves that Vila Beach showed during the event.

He has a house in Lagoa da Conceição, Florianopolis, so Bufacchi come to Brazil yet in October, and trained in Vila Beach on the last weekend before the event. He says that already know the competition's place don't became easier the battery, because the sea changes every day.

Bufacchi tells that begin ride on jet in 1998, due a friend's indication: "I started late for my age", believes the rider that is Known for your beautifull tricks. In 1999 he participated in your first championship, in Italy. Beyond trains with jet, the rider cares of your physical doing gym and riding on bodyboard, too.

"It's all a style of life. I don't drink, don't smoke, I care of my foods, don't eat fried foods..." For Bufacchi the most reward moment in your carrier was win the world championship in 1999, only one year after he started this sport.

The rider count with the support of Monticelli/Gust, Dolce and Gabbana and Maremoto. He affirms that for him can see the Jet Waves' changes and evolution is so nice: "Every year has something different", observes.

Equipe INEMA
