Aconteceu nos dias 28 e 29 de abril de 2007, na França, a 3ª etapa do Campeonato Mundial de Free Ride. Tchello conta como foi a etapa!

Um fim de semana de sol e boas ondas foi assim a terceira etapa do mundial de jet ski freeride, o IFWA World Championship 2007, em Montelivet, sul da França região de Bordeaux. O evento muito bem organizado no 9º ano pelos franceses e há anos não falha no quesito ondas, elas sempre comparecem por aqui.

Na categoria stand-up (jet em pé), a vitória ficou em casa com o Francês Pierre Maxient, derrotando na final o americano Ross Champion, que havia vencido a primeira etapa em Portugal no começo do mês. O também Francês Gil Beunier fico em 3º.

O brasileiro Ivo Sehn disputou até as quartas de final, onde, em uma das melhores baterias do dia, acabou perdendo a vaga para francês Beurnier. Dos outros 3 freeriders Brasileiros na categoria, Bruno Jacob e André Martins avançaram até as oitavas de finais, e Leandro Vieira mesmo com um "Back Flip" que empolgou o publico, ficou fora da disputa nessa categoria.

Xan Sampaio teve 2 boas participações nas 2 etapas anteriores, mas teve problemas musculares e não pode participar dessa etapa. Ele que ainda se recupera de um pé quebrado em Bali, no fim do ano passado, estará recuperado para a próxima etapa.

Já na categoria Sit-Donw (jet sentado) a vitória, mais vez, ficou com o Sul-africano Jimmy Visser que roubou a cena. Jimbo, como é conhecido, ganhou as 3 primeiras etapas desse ano, e parece que caminha para conquista de seu 9º titulo mundial. Em 2º lugar ficou o Francês Maxient que foi o grande destaque, ele subiu no podium nas 2 categorias.

O "Brasuca" Leandro Vieira avançou até as quartas de finais nessa categoria, foi o nico brasileiro a participar de ambas. A próxima parada da Tour será em agosto nos Estados Unidos, e a final está marcada para os dias 7, 8 e 9 no Brasil, na Praia Brava em Itajaí.

A sunny weekend with good waves, the third round of the Free Ride World Championship, Montelivet, south of France, Bordeaux's region, was like this. The event was very well organized on the 9º year by French and is does not have fails when we talk about waves, they always are here.

In the stand-up category, the victory staid at home with the French Pierre Maxient, that won in the final the American Ross Champion, that won the first round in Portugal, in the begin of the month. The French Gil Beunier got the 3º collocation.

The Brazilian Ivo Sehn disputed until the quarts of finals, where, in one of the best batteries of the day, lost to the French Beurnier. Bruno Jacob and André Martins advanced until the eighth finals, and Leandro Vieira even with a back flip that lived up the public, stayed out of the dispute in this category.

Xan Sampaio got two good participations in the two anterior rounds, but had muscular problems and could not participate in this round. He is recouping of a foot that was broke in Bali, in the end of the last year, and will be recouped for the next round.

In the sit-down category, the victory, one more time, staid with the South-African Jimmy Visser. Jimbo, how he is known, won the firsts three rounds this year, and it seems he is walking to obtain her 9º world title. The French Pierre Maxient got the 2º collocation, that was the big detached, he went up in the podium in both categories.

The Brazilian Leandro Vieira advanced until the quarts of final in this category, he was the unique Brazilian that participated in both categories. The next Tour's stop is in August, in the United States, and the final is marked to September 7, 8 and 9, in Praia Brava, Itajaí/ Brazil.
